Magnificent excursion to the neighboring island of La Gomera to admire the wonder of the Garajonay National Park, the Bosque del Cedro and listen to the singular “silbo gomero”
This excursion allows you to visit and experience the most beautiful and attractive enclaves on the neighbouring island of La Gomera.
The trip is by bus and boat and includes lunch. The tour lasts all day, from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m.
The bus will pick you up from your hotel and transfer you to the Los Cristianos Pier (southern Tenerife), from where the ferry to San Sebastian de la Gomera, capital of the island, departs.
Once there, the tour climbs from the south towards the Garajonay National Park, an authentic world-class Laurisilva reserve and World Heritage Site.
Next is a visit to the Mirador de Agando to admire its imposing view over rocky terrain.
If time permits, there will be a photo stop at the Mirador de Vallehermoso, from where you can enjoy a beautiful view of this town in the north of the island.
Between 1:00 and 2:00 p.m., you will be treated to a delicious lunch in a restaurant in the lovely municipalities of Las Rosas or Agulo (both at mid-altitude).
During lunch, there will be a demonstration of the fascinating “Silbo Gomero,” or local practice of “whistled language.”
The tour continues on to the Hermigua Valley, ensconced at the base of a deep ravine.
Once back in San Sebastian, you will visit the place where the last vestiges of the historic visits of Christopher Columbus to Gomera before voyaging to the Americas can be found: Torre del Conde, the Hermitage, and Pozo de la Aguada.
The tour then returns by ferry to Los Cristianos, and from there, guests return to their hotels.
